In the first week, we were introduced the basics of coding by using Scratch. We learned about loops, conditionals, and variables, which we used to build simple games on Scratch.
In weeks 2 and 3, we were introduced to Python, data structures, cyber security, and object oriented programming. We built animations, stories, and games in Python.
During week 4, we learned about circuits and another programming language, C++, which we used with Arduino to program robots to move.
We learned HTML, for the frame of a webpage, CSS, for the style of a webpage, and JavaScript, a programming language for web development in week 5.
In the last two weeks, we used all the skills we learned from the program to build our own final project, which is EMPOWER, a platform for people to have meaningful conversations about controversial topics in our society.
